Design:

The 2024 Year of the Dragon 1/4 oz gold coin, issued by the Perth Mint, celebrates the Chinese Lunar Year of the Dragon. The coin's reverse side showcases a stylized representation of a Chinese mythical dragon, symbolizing mastery over the elements. It is adorned with the Chinese character for 'dragon,' the inscription 'DRAGON 2024,' and a 'P125' mintmark, signifying The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary.

On the obverse side, the coin features the Jody Clark Memorial Obverse of Queen Elizabeth II, displaying the years of her reign as '1952-2022.' Additionally, it provides essential information such as the coin's weight, purity, and monetary denomination. As an added security feature, a micro-laser engraved letter 'P' is incorporated into the 1/4 oz coin, enhancing its authenticity and making counterfeiting considerably more challenging.
